There are programs to remove watermarks from your pics, they can be stolen anytime. They're not magical symbols to keep thieves away from framing a photo on their wall without your blessing.
I'm only saying that you'd get more faves & appreciation without marks on everything, no one wants to look at those.
Also, it's hard to figure out one way or another if something was stolen for profit... you'd have to have eyes all over the internet to figure it out. It does happen, but I don't think it's all that common.
